Travel + Leisure's June 2026 issue covered cruises that linger in port after dark. Every other source in that piece was a cruise line executive. I was the only travel advisor, and mine was the only story about a couple who left the ship entirely. Their dream was an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, so I arranged their overnight at the InterContinental before they rejoined the ship the next morning. "It never would have been possible" without it.
April 2026
Travel + Leisure asked several advisors what mistake ruins a cruise fastest. Mine was the most absolute answer in the piece. I will not let my clients fly in the day their cruise departs, "it's a non-negotiable with me." Missing your first port, or starting a trip you've planned for a year exhausted from a security-line sprint, isn't a risk worth taking.

Travel + Leisure gave me four separate quotes in this piece, more than any other expert they interviewed, and let my answer close the article. Asked how to choose between cruise styles, my take: "It comes down to whether you want an expedition-forward luxury cruise or a luxury-forward expedition cruise.

Parade asked travel advisors for their best 10 tips for women traveling after 50. I was quoted in six of the ten, more than anyone else in the piece, and closed the article. Their words for me, not mine: "a Virtuoso-affiliated luxury travel advisor specializing in small-ship cruising for Gen X empty nesters."
Virtuoso Life Magazine covered Royal Caribbean's revamped private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and I was the only named source quoted in the piece. My take on the beach club: "an entire day of specialty dining and amazing tropical ocean views."

Years before Port and Passport existed, 425 Magazine built its cruise-planning section around my advice. The rule I gave them then is the same one I still give every client today: "always fly in the day before your cruise leaves." Thirteen years later, it's the same rule Travel + Leisure quoted me on in 2026.
